Goodies, tips, and tricks

Put Babel boxes on your user page so others know what languages you can speak and indicate your graphic abilities.
You can find the files you have uploaded in your Uploads.
Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~.
To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg.
You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account.
There are several tools to upload files.
Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful.

Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it.

Drawings of stained glass windows[edit]

I am concerned that some of your drawings of stained glass windows may be copyright violations, in particular:

Drawings of a stained glass window are derivative works, and need permission from the creator of the window unless the window is in the public domain. In the UK, public domain applies when the author has been dead for 70 years, so medieval and Victorian windows are ok but more modern windows can be problematic.

St Gabriel's Church, Brynmill, Swansea was built in 1888-89, but its stained glass includes windows from 1960.[1] Are your drawings of the 1960 windows?

You have not specified the location of several of your drawings of stained glass windows, which makes it difficult to establish the copyright situation.

File:St Urith depicted in window.png appears to be this window which is attributed to William Morris & Co and is probably old enough to be public domain. (The picture I found is the other way around. You have Urith holding a sickle in her left hand - is it reversed?)

Please add any information you have about the locations of the windows, and identify as best you can the dates of the windows.

If your drawings are based on your photographs of the windows then you could upload the photographs - the same copyright rules apply to photographs and drawings. However, a good drawing is sometimes better than a photograph.

Hm, also, have you tried to upload just the original map to commons? Having that might be more helpful in general.
